HARLEM RBI FINANCIALS SNAPSHOT

A FOCUS ON FINANCE

2013 brought exciting new challenges for Harlem RBI and DREAM Charter School. We continued to receive increases in all revenue categories including restricted government funding. While this meant quickly adapting to substantial financial complexity, our finance team responded without a single error. In fact, their rigor and dedication led us through an intricate New Markets Tax Credit process that netted the organization over $5 million for both our capital project and ongoing programmatic expenses. As we grow and our finances become more complex, we will continue to enhance the finance department's capacity and expertise to ensure strong support for the needs of a thriving organization," said Natasha Pallan, Chief Financial Officer. "Ultimately, healthy fiscal practices in our offices allow us to better serve more youth in our communities."
