CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PROGRESS
BRICK BY BRICK.
Five years ago, we set our sights on building a permanent home for DREAM Charter School and headquarters for Harlem RBI. Through persistence and dedication, and in partnership with the City of New York, Civic Builders and Jonathan Rose Companies, the East Harlem Center for Living and Learning broke ground in February of 2013. The new building will house under one roof Harlem RBI’s new offices, DREAM Charter School, and 90 units of affordable housing. The project also includes the renovation of Blake Hobbs Public Park. By 2014, the community will begin to see masonry of the residential tower. And by 2015, scholars will enter their new state-of-the-art DREAM Charter School. Reflecting the hard work and vision of many collaborators, this building represents Harlem RBI’s long-term commitment to serving East Harlem’s youth and families.
