At the beginning of the REAL Kids-South Bronx season, members of the fifth grade Knights didn't get along. Individually, they were solid ball players - but they argued, yelled, and couldn't follow directions. Coaches realized the Knights needed to understand Teamwork. They started playing competitive games in the classroom and created a narrative video on cooperation. "In the video, we were nice to each other and apologized for arguing. Then, we started doing the same in real life," said Francis. By practicing communication, respect and teamwork, the Knights learned to resolve conflicts on and off the field. And in true knightly form, their happily ever after looked like this: In the first ever REAL Kids-South Bronx Championship Game, the Knights brought home the championship title.
